This Privacy Policy explains what information Huglet uses, what is stored locally on your device, what may be sent to the remote service, and how to contact The Night Shift about privacy questions.
1. What Huglet stores locally on your device
- Your name
- Your selected salutation
- Your selected language
- Your selected compliment style
- Your daily notification settings
- A device-scoped identifier used for compliment requests
2. What Huglet may send to the remote service
When Huglet requests a compliment from the remote backend, it may send the following data over HTTPS:
- Your name
- Your selected salutation
- Your selected language
- Your selected compliment style
- A device-scoped identifier
3. Why this information is used
- To generate a personalized compliment response
- To remember your preferences inside the app
- To schedule local reminder notifications when you enable them
- To keep the service functioning reliably across sessions
4. Notifications
Huglet may request notification permission only if you enable daily reminders. Notification scheduling is used for app functionality and is controlled by your own settings.
5. Tracking, ads, and analytics
- Huglet does not use tracking for advertising.
- Huglet does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
- Huglet does not include third-party analytics SDKs in the current release.
6. Data transmission and security
Remote app requests are made over HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure, but Huglet is designed to avoid collecting unnecessary data and to keep data use tied to core app functionality.
7. Your choices
- You can stop using the app at any time.
- You can disable notifications in the app and in your system settings.
- You can remove locally stored app data by uninstalling the app.
